Rachel never went back to selling coffee
after she had her first child Macey and decided to concentrate
on her career in entertainment. Over the years she has appeared
on several T.V shows including “Star for a night”,
“Pop Idol” and Calendar, collecting numerous awards
and titles along the way.
In 2003 she was presented with “Best Female Entertainer”
for the Yorkshire region. Also in this year Rachel won Yorkshire
T.V’s “Northern Star” competition resulting
in the highlight of her career to date by performing live
to 75’000 at Temple Newsam – Leeds.
Rachel has been organising and hosting events for many years
now and has helped local events grow into major dates on the
entertainment calendar. Doing all this in between having her
second child Louis. “It really is rewarding being involved
with some of the events I have hosted – to see Helen
and Mark win the wedding earlier this year was very special”
On the road since May 2007, Crazy Days was formed by Rachel.
As well as hosting this years’ ‘Party at the Park’,
Rachel has hosted and appeared at many other big events including
'Party in the Park' in Leeds where she performed her own song
‘Heaven’ to 75’000 alongside such acts as
Busted, Lemar and Big Brovaz, and also at the region’s
Class Act, Win-a-Wedding and other notable goings-on. |
Forming her own band is something Rachel
has always wanted to do.
‘I formed Crazy Days to provide a new musical challenge
for me and to realise an ambition I’ve had since the
age of sixteen!’ said Rachel. ‘It’s great
to have the guys on the road with me, performing with my own
live band is something else’!
Performing a great mix of funk and soft rock, which includes
songs by such iconic artists like James Brown, Joe Cocker
and Gwen Stefani of No Doubt, the five-piece outfit offer
something for everyone.
Rachel continues to perform around the region; from weddings
to corporate functions, from 70 to 70,000 it’s all been
the making of what Rachel has to offer today. With a repertoire
that includes everything from ballads to the heavy rock of
Meat Loaf and Queen, all her future audiences - are in for
a night to remember! |
