Performing live to an audience of 75,000, facing the acid tongue of Simon Cowell and singing live on BBC1, these are some of the experiences that have helped Rachel to become one the area’s most well known hosts today.
From a fashion show to a large outdoor music festival are just an example of what Rachel has been helping to organise and host since 2003.
Rachel has recently worked for and in conjunction with The Grimsby and Scunthorpe Media Group, The Lincoln Echo, Scunthorpe United Football Club, The Valerie Tall Wedding Studio and Reeds Hotel to name but a few.

2008
APR – Back again, Rachel hosted ‘Class Act 2008’ Junior talent search run throughout schools in North Lincolnshire for Scunthorpe Telegraph and held at The Wortley House Hotel – Scunthorpe.
FEB – The 2008 follow up Wedding Fayre held again at Reeds Hotel.

2007
OCT – Wedding fashion show at Reeds Hotel, this event was in conjunction with the Valerie Tall Wedding Studio and Reeds Hotel. It was a resounding success.
SEPT – ‘Party at the Park’ for Scunthorpe United’ a full days event that was held to celebrate the teams promotion to the Championship attended by 5,000.
AUG – ‘Humberfest’ Community Day, a free day for everyone to come and be entertained by local bands from the North Lincolnshire region. Attendance on the day was close to 2000.
APR – ‘Class Act 2007’ Junior talent search run throughout schools in North Lincolnshire for Scunthorpe Telegraph.
MAR – Hosted the £15,000 ‘Win a Wedding’ competition for The Lincolnshire Echo, Scunthorpe and Grimsby Telegraph at some of the regions finest Hotels.
2006
AUG – Hosted the ConocoPhillips/Grimsby Telegraph Fun Day at the Boating Lake Cleethorpes.
JUL - ‘Miss Scunthorpe Telegraph / Picnic in the Park’ to an outside audience of 9500 people for Scunthorpe Telegraph. The event was a sell-out and as many people were turned away.
2005
AUG – Brought things together for the ConocoPhillips Grimsby Telegraph Fun Day at the Grimsby’s People’s Park.
JUL - ‘Miss Scunthorpe Telegraph / Picnic in the Park’ to an outside audience of 6500 people for Scunthorpe Telegraph.
2004
JUL – Hosted the first outdoor ‘Miss Scunthorpe Telegraph / Picnic in the Park’ to an outside audience of 3500 people for Scunthorpe Telegraph. The event continued to grow and grow with nearly 10,000 people attending in 2006.
APR – ‘Class Act 2004’ junior talent search run throughout schools in North Lincolnshire for Scunthorpe & Grimsby Newspapers.
2003
JAN to JUN – Along with her partner Gary, Rachel brought the first and original ‘Pubidol’ talent competition to the local entertainment scene. The eventual winner Kim Gee went onto appear on The X factor and reach the top ten finalists! The event was backed and supported by The Grimsby & Scunthorpe Telegraph ’s and ran for 21 weeks throughout clubs and pubs in North & North East Lincolnshire. |
